Here we have an official support document which clearly provides a carveout that secondhand owners of Xfinity Mobile devices are eligible to have those devices unlocked, assuming they meet the other unlock criteria (i.e., line active for 30 days, etc.). If the phone previously was active on another Xfinity Mobile customer’s account, it must be paid for in full. The phone cannot be active on another Xfinity Mobile customer's account. After activating the phone, I called a second time and again received confirmation that after having the phone on an active line for 30 days it would be eligible for unlock.
